About me
Hello. I am Mrs. Crabtree, and I teach 7th and 8th grade science in Mansfield R-IV school district. This is my 4th year in the district.
Education:
Why teaching?
I love getting the opportunity to see students become more well-rounded and informed citizens. I am grateful that I get to impart knowledge and help students grow in their educational journey.
A little about me...
My family and I live on 3 acres and enjoy the "country life". I enjoy spending time outside. We have several varieties of animals, from chickens to dogs. I have a fairly large garden that I love to tend in the summer.
I worked in the banking industry for 5 1/2 years before deciding to pursue my career in education. While I enjoyed my job, I felt that I was missing something. Through a series of mergers I became a trainer for the bank and learned that I had a passion for teaching. I feel that skills gained in the banking industry have helped me in the area of education and preparing my students for the "real world".
Education:
- 2005 graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Finance
- 2009 completed teacher certification program at Drury University
- 2011 graduated with a Master's degree in Middle School Education and Curriculum from Drury University
